Wind Energy

Wind energy is a kind of available energy provided to human beings due to the work of air flow. It belongs to renewable energy (including water energy, bioenergy, etc.). The kinetic energy of air flow is called wind energy. The higher the air velocity, the greater the kinetic energy. People can use the windmill to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into rotating action to drive the generator to generate electricity. The method of wind energy is to transmit the rotating power of the rotor (composed of aerodynamic blades) to the generator through the transmission shaft. By 2008, there were about 94.1 million kilowatts of power generated by wind power in the world, and the power supply has exceeded 1% of the world's consumption. Although wind energy is not the main energy source for most countries, it has more than quadrupled between 1999 and 2005.

In modern times, turbine blades are used to convert the mechanical energy of air flow into electrical energy and become generators. In the middle and ancient times, windmills were used to grind grain and pump water.

Wind power is used in large-scale wind farms and some places where power supply is isolated, which has made great contributions to local life and development.
